NORDSEE Franchise

Request information

Well over 100 branches are already managed by our franchise partners. But this is just the beginning. We want to continue to grow and invite real entrepreneurs to have a successful future with us. So we are looking for partners for Germany and Austria as well as for other international markets.

Our franchise model Germany/Austria

The franchise model in these two countries focuses on new locations. NORDSEE supports its partners in site selection and also negotiates the lease. The planning and construction of the restaurant is coordinated and implemented by NORDSEE.

This franchise model is well suited to partners who have sufficient liquidity at the beginning of their business.

Our International franchise model

The International franchise model focuses on expansion in countries and regions where NORDSEE is not yet present. NORDSEE provides its partners with advice on important topics such as location selection, logistics and staff training.

This franchise model is well suited to partners who have high liquidity to open several restaurants in a region within a few years.

Success stories

Eduard Wunder

Partner since 2011, currently 4 NORDSEE restaurants (NORDSEE Hof, NORDSEE Ansbach, NORDSEE Plauen, NORDSEE Coburg)

Now happy at NORDSEE. Eduard Wunder was an ice hockey player, butcher, engineer, entrepreneur - now he is a franchise partner in Bavaria and Saxony.

Eduard is slim and fit - no wonder with his hobby of playing ice hockey. Up until the age of 19, it looked as if it would also become his profession. But as so often happens in life, things turned out differently. An apprenticeship as a butcher was followed by a few semesters studying engineering, he went to work for Siemens and then set up his own business, exporting textiles to Russia, until NORDSEE came into play. As a sportsman, he knew how important it is to eat healthily. Over the years, he had become a good customer of NORDSEE. He began to take an interest in the company. Mr Wunder currently employs 57 people - many of whom have been with NORDSEE for a long time.

Ilja Schmidt

Partner since 2016, currently 2 NORDSEE restaurants (NORDSEE Wolfsburg Porschestraße, NORDSEE Wolfsburg City Galerie)

Fast, fresh, enthusiastic. Ilja runs a NORDSEE restaurant - a born entrepreneur, 27 years young and full of good ideas.

Ilja is one of NORDSEE's youngest franchise partners. He made his way quickly. After successfully completing school, he actually only wanted to earn money for a driving licence as a temp. But his trainer predicted his future as a store manager even then. And so it came to pass: Ilja Schmidt stayed on, completed his training as 1st buffet assistant in 2009, became deputy branch manager shortly afterwards and soon became branch manager. He almost felt like an entrepreneur. But he wanted more. Even more independence, even more responsibility. Encouraged by his girlfriend and family, he applied to become a franchise partner at NORDSEE.

On 1 April 2016, the time had come! He wouldn't have thought of any other industry. ‘NORDSEE is the best for me.’ He is proud to be able to win over his customers time and time again for new dishes and is therefore looking forward to further exciting rounds of promotions in the future.

Harun Koc

Partner since 2013, currently 6 NORDSEE restaurants (NORDSEE Lüdenscheid, NORDSEE Iserlohn, NORDSEE Köln Arcaden, NORDSEE Rhein-Center Köln, NORDSEE Recklinghausen)

A-levels and then into management.

Harun was not familiar with the company beforehand and the first day of his apprenticeship could have been his last day at NORDSEE. Harun wondered why he needed a school-leaving certificate to ‘make sandwiches’. Thanks to his training manager, who showed him further career opportunities in the company, the apprentice stayed on and was immediately appointed deputy branch manager after his three-year training as a specialised catering specialist.

Harun Koc started as a franchise partner in January 2013. He had already felt like an entrepreneur beforehand, as it is NORDSEE's philosophy to turn employees into entrepreneurs within the company.

The proximity between his home and workplace is an advantage, as is his Turkish heritage. The latter with regard to both the guests and the 30 employees. The common language quickly built up trust.

Christian Aurelian Farmache

Partner since 2007, currently four NORDSEE restaurants in Romania (4 restaurants in Bucharest and 1 restaurant in Timisoara)

It was love at first sight when Cristian discovered NORDSEE during a New Year's holiday in Vienna in 2006.

Cristian studied mechanical engineering and holds a degree in engineering, but never practised this profession. He was passionate about working in the family-run restaurant. When he discovered his ‘new love’ NORDSEE, he asked his sister-in-law, Liliana Farmache, to help him apply for the franchise. During a personal meeting with NORDSEE in Germany, the Farmache family was able to convince us of the project in Romania. Liliana signed the contract in 2007 without ever having seen a NORDSEE restaurant. She trusted Cristian's intuition and his passion for gastronomy.

After 10 years, since the first opening in the Baneasa Mall, Cristian is still putting his heart and soul into it. He promotes his management and successfully develops the concept in line with the requirements of the Romanian market in order to be able to expand further.

He still has a little hobbyhorse - and that is football, especially Real Madrid.
